Accessibility
Burpee Museum of Natural History is committed to making its buildings, exhibits, and programs accessible to all visitors with special needs. We offer ramps, accessible restrooms, an elevator, and ample room around each exhibit. We adhere to the Smithsonian Institute’s guidelines for accessibility. Our classes accommodate children (and their parents) with special needs.
We are here to help.
Burpee Museum has four floors of handicap-accessible Natural History exhibits, including elevators. Visitors using wheelchairs or strollers may be dropped off at the Main Entrance, with free handicapped parking near Wheelchair Rentals. Wheelchairs are available free of charge. Upon arrival, ask our Visitor Services staff for assistance. Call in advance to reserve and check availability.
Science For All
Burpee Museum offers several SCIENCE FOR ALL events each year for individuals with disabilities and their immediate families to experience our exhibits free of charge before/after the museum opens/closes to the public. Advance registration is required.
