BARNES MANSION

Step into elegance at the historic Barnes Mansion, built in the late 1800s. With original woodwork, high ceilings, and open rooms, this space offers timeless charm. Perfect for intimate gatherings, the mansion accommodates up to 50 guests (seating varies by event). We provide tables, chairs, and an event liaison to ensure your event runs smoothly.

Please note: Linens are not provided by Burpee Museum.

What Events Work Best in the Barnes Mansion?

This space is perfect for small, upscale events such as baby and wedding showers, larger birthday parties, and intimate wedding receptions.

How many people can this venue accommodate?

This location seats 30 people comfortably for a dinner. For a party or cocktails, there is a 50 person maximum.

What is the rental fee?

This venue starts at $375 for a 3-hour event block (setup not included).

May I bring my own alcohol?

Due to health department regulations, alcohol must be provided by one of our approved vendors and served by a certified bartender.

May I bring my own food?

Due to health department regulations, only store-bought food or food from one of our approved vendors can be served. Homemade food, or food made by someone without the proper health department certifications on file at Burpee Museum, is not permitted.

MAHLBURG AUDITORIUM

Named for the Burpee Museum’s first executive director, the Mahlburg Auditorium is a large space with multiple setup options. We provide tables, chairs, and an event liaison to ensure your event runs smoothly. 

Please note: Linens are not provided by Burpee Museum.

What Events Work Best in this venue?

The Mahlburg Auditorium is perfect for larger events like corporate lunches, company workshops, and wedding ceremonies (etc.) that need more space. The auditorium can hold a max of 190 people (seating depending on the event)!

How many people can this venue accommodate?

This location seats 90 people comfortably for a table meal. For conferences or workshops or other seating arrangements the room can accommodate up to 190.

What is the rental fee?

This venue starts at $150 per 1-hour. Multi hour packages are available.

RIVERVIEW HALL & TERRACE

Located on the scenic riverfront, Burpee Museum offers versatile spaces for larger events. The Riverview Hall and adjoining outdoor Terrace and Amphitheater can accommodate up to 250 guests (seating varies by event).

This stunning venue is perfect for wedding receptions, milestone birthdays, school dances, or graduation parties!

What Events Work Best in this venue?

From corporate conferences to weddings to school dances, this space can accommodate a large party and seasonal access to the riverfront facing terrace.

How many people can this venue accommodate?

This location seats 125 people comfortably for a table meal. For conferences or workshops or other seating arrangements the room can accommodate up to 190.

What is the rental fee?

This venue starts at $350 per 1-hour and on weekends requires a 5 hour block to be booked.

Multi hour packages are available.

OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER & TERRACE

Located on the scenic riverfront, your outdoor event will be a show-stopper.  From outdoor weddings, to celebrations with vendors, to concert, Burpee runs many successful events in this location.

 

What Events Work Best in this venue?

From large outdoor parties to fundraisers, this location offers great flexibility for you planning needs

How many people can this venue accommodate?

This location seats 300 people comfortably in chairs around the amphitheater, however an event with the terrace and other parts of the outdoor space can accommodate more.

What is the rental fee?

This venue starts at $200 per 1-hour and on weekends requires a 2 hour block to be booked.

Multi hour packages are available.

PRIVATE ROOM: CL1

Located on the lower level of Burpee Museum with close access to restrooms, catering kitchen, and outdoor amphitheater, this location is large enough for medium sized parties, corporate events, and lectures.

 

What Events Work Best in this venue?

From medium to large birthday parties to corporate lectures, this classroom style setting provides a private space near bathrooms and the exterior terrace.

How many people can this venue accommodate?

This location seats 50 people comfortably in chairs around the tables provided.

What is the rental fee?

This venue starts at $100 per 1-hour 

Multi hour packages are available.
