Accessibility:

Burpee Museum has four floors of handicap-accessible Natural History exhibits. Visitors using wheelchairs or strollers may be dropped off at the Main Entrance, with free handicapped parking nearby. Wheelchairs are available free of charge; ask our Visitor Services staff for assistance.

We believe there should be no boundaries to your Burpee Museum experience. If you have an accommodation request related to a disability, we are happy to help please call us at 815-965-3433.

Parking

Burpee Museum has a main parking lot at 737 North Main Street with handicap accessibility.  Additional parking is available at the Riverfront Museum Park at 711 North Main Street.  The Museum Park is connected to Burpee Museum via an underground tunnel.

Group Visits

If your group is larger than 15 people, you may be eligable for discounted rates and group tours when booking in advance.

Make it Extra Special

Burpee offers multiple ways to enhance your museum experience.  You can schedule a private tour, or private animal meet and greet in our Special Encounters.  You can spontaniously add adventure with an educator’s special add on for the “topic of the day!”
