Burpee Museum is always looking to connect with individuals who will play an integral role in the success of the Museum’s Mission! From facilitating our exhibits, assisting with research, interacting with our guests, and improving guest experiences, Burpee has a variety of positions that are open on a rotating, seasonal, and permanent basis. All Positions Require:
- Love of Natural Sciences
- High School Diploma or GED (select high school internships available)
- Pass a background check

Biology & Zoology
These positions are often combined with visitor services roles. You will care for animals, conduct animal education and outreach, lead animal hours, and communicate with our guests.
Content Creation & Teaching
These positions range from part time to full time. You will be creating both online (virtual) content and in-person content as well as leading field trips, in-school outreaches, and online classes. Student ages range from preschool to adult.
These positions include being the first face to greet guests at Burpee! From working the front desk, to the Gift Shop, to community engagement and outreach, join a great team! **IN NEED
College Internship & Financial Aid
If you are currently enrolled in a university or college program, you may be eligible to do your work/study program at Burpee!
This position includes repairing existing exhibits, assisting with the building of new exhibits, maintaining the building and grounds, HVAC, etc. **IN NEED
Maintain the Beautiful Burpee!
These associates are part of a critical team of individuals that help keep Burpee looking amazing for every field trip, every family, every day. This is a critical part of our team!
Lab and Collections Positions
From organizing and cataloging collection items, to fossil prep and taxidermy work, Burpee is looking for interested individuals to help us advance and preserve the natural sciences.
