Meet the Vendors

All vendors are responsible for complying with state and federal laws regarding the sale, transport, and display of live animals. Any species that require permits for breeding, sale, or exhibition must be accompanied by the appropriate, current documentation, which may be requested by event staff or visiting officials. Representatives from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and partnering scientists may be present during the event.
Burpee Museum reserves the right to deny or remove any exhibit or sale that does not meet legal or ethical standards of animal care and compliance.

Join us for the first-ever Scales, Tails & Imagination Expo at Burpee Museum of Natural History, an exciting new event celebrating reptiles, amphibians, and the science and innovation behind their care! We anticipate strong attendance from families, educators, hobbyists, and animal enthusiasts eager to explore live animals, terrarium setups, merchandise, and cutting-edge products.

Vendors will have the opportunity to showcase and sell live reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, animal care supplies, books, décor, 3D-printed items, apparel, and more to an enthusiastic and curious crowd. With hands-on exhibits, engaging presentations, and a strong community following, this event promises to be a high-energy, high-interest weekend for sellers and visitors alike.

Animal Sales & Permit Requirements
