Burpee's awesome homeschool and enrichment programming presents an exciting way to learn about science! Curriculum is designed around multiple STEM themes that change each year and semester. Take one class, or sign up for the full semester.
These classes will bring students into our exhibits and all around the museum as they complete science experiments and hands-on activities to learn about science!
Classes & Groups:
This year's theme revolves around engineering. In these classes, you will learn about the engineering process and how various engineering processes are important for our world!
For 6-9 Year-Old Learners and 10 & Up Learners. Sessions run from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on scheduled days.

Learn about, understand, and use the steps of the Engineering Process to successfully build and test a design to ensure it works as it is intended!
Create your own Rube Goldberg Machine!
Learn the science of boat design and the science involved when specifically designing for a vehicle only intended for water!
Learn the science and tools used to design and build a structure to withstand the conditions associated with an earthquake!
Be a chemist exploring natural and synthetic polymers, and trying your hand at making your own!
Explore these amazing organisms and see if it is possible for them to also survive in conditions on another planet!
Explore plant biology, plant life cycles, plant reproduction, photosynthesis and alternative ways to grow and harvest plants!
