We have a wide range of needs and opportunities, from science lab work to construction to education, to outreach! We can’t wait to get to know you.
Possible Roles
Education Outreach
Retired teachers, aspiring teachers, or people who like to share their knowledge are encouraged to get involved here. From outreaches at daycares and schools to on-campus lectures and classes, we are always in need of extra hands!
Design & Construction
Burpee has been building new exhibits, sprucing up old spaces, and growing outdoors a lot in the past year. None of it would be possible without our volunteer teams. From painting walls to building walls…your skills and creativity are needed here!
Special Events
Do you like to talk to the public about our amazing natural world? From hosting booths at events (don’t worry, Burpee will provide materials and training!) to sharing your own collections, we would love to have you volunteer and help bring Burpee to life!
Laboratory Work
Burpee is proud of our lab volunteer force. From fieldwork to fossil prep to lab organization, we are willing to train and guide you through this rewarding process as YOU can get involved in the awesome research and collections work at Burpee Museum.
