Burpee Museum is a unique place to host your next party, lecture, or meeting! We have rooms that can accommodate up to 250 people. Or for those big events you can rent out the entire Museum! Burpee can make your wedding, reception or event anything but ordinary.

Available Spaces:

Rent the Whole Museum

Access to exhibits for all guests. Includes use of Mahlburg Auditorium, Riverview Room and Terrace, two catering kitchens and the tunnel to parking at Riverfront Museum Park. Maximum occupancy over 1500.

Riverview Room & Terrace
Seats up to 150 guests at tables, maximum occupancy 250 indoors.
Access to exhibits for all guests. Includes use of outdoor Terrace and catering kitchen.

Mahlburg Auditorium

40’x32’ Seats up to 80 guests at tables, maximum occupancy 110.
Access to exhibits for all guests. Includes use of attached catering kitchen.

Additional parking is available at the Riverfront Museum Park, discuss fees and availabilities with the rental coordinator. Minimum $100 charge for keeping the tunnel open after 5:00pm.

Birthday Parties!

Have a special birthday coming up? Burpee Museum has private rooms available for you to host the perfect birthday party. Easy and affordable, birthdays at Burpee provide a unique environment for your child to learn, discover, and explore.

All rates and rooms include 3 hours time, free admission for all your guests, coloring sheets and materials for the children and a fact-hunt to help your guests explore our award winning exhibits.

Available spaces:

Classroom 2 or 3
• Available Saturdays & Sundays between 11 am and 4 pm
• Classroom 3 is located near our biology and Native American exhibits. Classroom 2 is near our geology exhibit.

Classroom 1
• Available Saturdays & Sundays between 11 am and 4 pm
• This room is located in the lower level near the viewing lab and is adjacent to restrooms

Mahlburg Auditorium

• Available Saturdays & Sundays between 11 am and 4 pm
• This room is located on the first floor, includes use of the catering kitchen and is adjacent to restrooms
