How do treasure hunters find treasure and what tools do they use? We’ll discover the answers as we explore Burpee’s back yard looking for treasure. Come dressed to be outside and get dirty! For 9 – 12 year olds

Here is a class with actual hands-on experience in paleontology. Learn what Burpee is doing at its dig sites and the background basics which a paleontologist needs to know. Spend some time in Burpee’s prep lab and work with a variety of tools to prepare a fossil. For 9 – 12 year olds |

Let’s explore the Animal Kingdom by visiting the Museum’s live animals and using the skulls and bones from the collections to learn about different animals and how they live. For 9 – 12 year olds |

Explore the world of horned dinosaurs and delve into the unique characteristics of Homer, Burpee’s soon to be unveiled fossil find. Learn the newest research on Triceratops and the Ceratopsian group. For 9 – 12 year olds
Escape to Burpee: Oceans Alive
The oceans are filled with amazing creatures. From tiny shells to huge whales and endangered sea turtles. We’ll explore the ocean depths to discover the things that live there in this interactive program. For 9 – 12 year olds

Here’s a wonderful opportunity to meet, and learn about, the
Museum’s live animals as you spend the afternoon feeding and caring for them. The animals include an assortment of reptiles, a tarantula, a salamander, some hissing cockroaches, and fish.
